Scholarships are such a great way to pay for college. It’s free money! You don’t have to pay the money back. I was blessed to have a scholarship to go to college. It was a HUGE blessing. Dave Ramsey, of Financial Peace, tells a story of a girl who applied for over 100 scholarships the year before her senior year of high school. She wasn’t super smart and didn’t have the best scores, but she knew she wanted to go to college, and she had hopes that she could get scholarships to pay for all of it. Because she applied to so many scholarships, she hugely increased her chances of getting one. She did in fact get a few, enough to pay all of her college expenses.
