Lilies are a symbol of Easter because they are white and represent the purity of Jesus. They also represent hope, innocence and virtue. Read more here. Here’s how you can make paper versions of this beautiful flower that represents our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, just in time for Easter.
Materials Needed:
-white paper
-bamboo skewers
-dark green Sharpie permanent marker
-green paper
-pencil
-scissors
-transparent tape

- Trace your hand on white paper and cut it out. Then curl the ends of the fingers with a pencil so they resemble the curled petals of the lily flower. Sorry the above photo shows wrinkles and curls in the paper, I had already rolled it up and then decided to blog about this so I unrolled it and uncurled the fingers.

2. Color the bamboo skewer with the green Sharpie. Use thick paper underneath to protect your work surface from getting colored by the Sharpie.

3. Curl the white paper hand to look like a flower. Stick the skewer in the resulting central hole and tape them together.

4. Cut out leaf shapes out of the green paper.

6. Tape the leaves onto the green “stem.”

5. Make more and pop them all in a vase. No water needed, lol.
