I love these images from Rhonda and Farrell Pickering from the video at the bottom of this post. The figures in the middle of each chart, in red, are the Ancient Hebrew pictograms, that make up the name of Abraham and Sarah. Each has a few related meanings. In Hebrew, you read right to left. So Abraham literally means, “strong leader of home and family with authority to reveal chaos (or mystery, another meaning for the letter on the very left, “mem.”)

Sarai literally means, “separate head work.” The Part 2 video at the very bottom shows the Pickerings talking about the names of Abram and Sarai. They explain what happens when the Hebrew letter “hey” is added to their names to become Abraham and Sarah.
