A Video About Our Commonwealth School that Includes Kids Under 12

A few nights ago our Commonwealth School had our January Awards Night. This is where we honor the kids who did all of the scholar requirements in the scholar project classes. I taught the class about the War for Southern Independence. Five out of the nine kids earned their swords and kepis, the typical award for that class. My 12 year old son earned his tricornered hat for the class on the Constitution. He is a driven kid! I love seeing him study hard!

The above video shows some of the fun times from our family-based school. This is the first year we’ve added kids under 12. My friends Aneladee Milne and Katie Hansen are writing the curriculum for the core and love of learning classes. It’s really exciting to watch it unfold!
