The Mouse on the Mayflower

This cute Thanksgiving TV special was a staple of my childhood. I have fond memories of watching it. I love that it mentions that the Pilgrims and the Strangers had prayer meeting every morning. It also has a cute song about how “this land was meant to be free.” Hey, you can find the same principle in the Book of Mormon. It’s so important that we remember what great things the Lord has done for our fathers, like it says in the Book of Mormon, Ether 7:27. In that verse, the Jaredite king remembers “the great things that the Lord had done for his fathers in bringing them across the great deep into the promised land; wherefore he did execute judgment in righteousness all his days.” Could remembering the great things the Lord did in bringing forth our Pilgrim fathers across the “great deep” ocean cause us to have righteous judgment “all our days”? I think so.
