RootsTech is coming March 3-5, next week! Read here about RootsTech if you don’t know what it is.

I’m counting down the days to it by sharing a family history story every day. Today’s story is called “Briefcase from the Dump,” by Edmund Fehr. Edmund served a mission in Argentina with his wife. While serving, they met a humble, faithful man named Alberto. Alberto’s wife had passed away, and none of his other family members had joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After Edmund and his wife returned from their mission, they got a letter saying Alberto had passed away. Edmund and his wife asked Alberto’s family for permission to do his temple work and that of his wife. They got all the necessary paperwork done, put it all in a briefcase, and left for vacation in AZ. How devastated they were when they returned home and discovered that the briefcase and other items had been stolen from their storage unit. What follows, how they got the briefcase back, is a miracle! Go here to read the rest of the story.

If you like this story, you’ll love all the family history stories I have in my FREE family devotionals ebook over here. The March section has family history stories. Happy reading and sharing! I share one a day with my family during our family devotional.
