October Session of Mothers Who Know: Giveaway!

I am giving away one registration to the October session of Mothers Who Know! It starts on Friday October 4. This is a class that is a conference call. You can attend from anywhere you have long distance service. This class will help you conquer self-defeating behaviors. Go here to get all the details.

Here are some testimonials:

I have been training and participating in the Eternal Warriors program since May of 2012.   As the battle for souls that began before this earth rages on we must arm ourselves and our families with the most powerful arsenal to defend ourselves from Satan and his unseen legions.  As I hold myself accountable on a daily basis to the high standard I have set as a covenant daughter of God through this goal setting, journal recording, pattern analyzing, and accountability sharing program I feel the power of the Holy Ghost with me  moment by moment and recognize the pit falls Satan tries to lure me into.  The talents  I have developed and blessings I have gained through this program have allowed me to stand firmly at the veil communicating with my Heavenly Father through our Savior Jesus Christ and not be distracted by and caught up in the things of hr world.  I am looking forward to Celestia’s tele- classes and know they will be a highlight of my week!  Join in with us and arm yourself and your family for the battle hat rages!” Mother of 5, Kansas

“I want to take a few minutes to thank you and explain what this class has done for me. I am a mother of 8 and for just about all of my life I have suffered with debilitating anxiety and depression. I have not been living my life. It wasn’t until I took this class that I realized that this was Satan trying and succeeding to stop me from serving Heavenly Father. I feel like a miracle has happened in my life. If I feel any discouragement I now tell Satan to leave me alone. I now think clearly, I am so much more use to my Heavenly Father and my Family. I feel like I have so much in store now and I actually look forward to each new day.Thank you so much for your time and for changing my life. I don’t remember ever feeling this great and now I am more positive and the spirit can finally work with me. Thank you I am finally living the life God intended me to.” -mother of 8, Utah

“Mothers Who Know had great impact on me. I learned to recognize and combat Satan and to achieve things I knew I should do but never got around to. Celestia led with gentle firmness, the other class members inspired through sharing stories and struggles, and the accountability generated change.  I highly recommend this simple yet powerful class.”

Carolyn Marriott -Washington State

“Mothers Who Know has changed my life. For many years I have struggled with establishing daily habits that I was beginning to think were impossible at this stage in my life. Although I knew how important daily prayer, scripture study, and journal writing were, I just couldn’t figure out how to consistently fit it all in to my busy schedule. The knowledge and support I received in the class has made all the difference. Not only am I succeeding with these goals, my level of discernment has increased. I am more often able to detect and repel Satan’s temptation as well as hear and faithfully obey the whisperings of the Holy Ghost. I am more confident in my ability to lead, protect, and empower my children. It is so exciting to be able to give them tools to resist temptation and build their faith.  I am eternally grateful and I know every family can be strengthened through the principles taught in this class.”-Nicole, Ut

“This class has been so good for me… once I really committed and did the homework!  The ‘perfect day’ concept kind of shut me down the first while, because unhealthy perfectionism is something I’ve left behind, and I didn’t like feeling that again. I sensed myself resisting. I also didn’t order my books in time, so the class discussions about concepts in the book weren’t very helpful to me. Then once I decided to commit and really go for it, WOW, this class has been great for me and for my whole family!  The book has been helpful in understanding the battles we’re in and ways I’ve never learned before for winning those battles.  I have studied therapy in college and for years with energy work, and some of these tools are totally new to me.
“I have been overcoming personal weaknesses that I never thought I could. I have felt more of the Spirit in my life, which brings more “fruits” of the Spirit like joy, peace, patience, love, and better priorities throughout the day. I have loved writing in my journal every single day! I’ve loved journaling for years but I’ve been haphazard about it. Consistency in the ‘small and simple things’ really does bring great results.  Because I’m putting God first and feeling more of the Spirit, God is helping me be a better wife, mother, disciple, servant, steward of my physical health, and so on. I have been more consistent with habits that aren’t even listed on my GiRL PoWeR goal chart, like exercising.  I have been more discerning about Satan’s subtle tactics to do whatever he can to distract us from or postpone those powerful little actions that keep us connected to God. This awareness is empowering, because my connection to God is so precious to me, I don’t want anything to get in the way! I recommend this class Celestia!”
Becky Edwards, Syracuse UT

“What a rewarding experience it has been to participate in the Mothers Who Know classes offered by Tree of Life Mothering.

I am thankful for the way in which the Spirit of our Heavenly Father teaches us.  The Mothers Who Know classes aligned in my life with some personal opportunities that complimented the work I was doing in Mothers Who Know.   I felt endowed with power from on High as I learned Spiritual Principles that aided in my wisdom and learning.  I have been blessed in participating in Mothers Who Know and I am thankful for the life changing principles taught within the curriculum as well as from others who participated. Thank you for offering such an inspired program.”
Sincerely,
Patricia DuBray

Book Review and Giveaway: Healing Arts- a Gift From God, LDS Insights on the Light of Christ and Energy Medicine

This book is a must-have guide for any parent, and anybody interested in the healing arts. If you have kids, you will probably encounter a time when they have unexplained symptoms or disease. You will probably not be able to find all your answers from a mainstream medical doctor. This has happened to me, and it happened to the author of this book, Tamara Laing. That’s why it’s important that you get this book, so you can see that there is more “out there” to avail yourself of besides conventional medicine. Conventional medicine has its place, but it definitely doesn’t have all the answers.

In this book Tamra tells the remarkable story of being a mom of a teenage daughter who had depression, mood swings, extreme anxiety, cutting and suicidal behaviors. She was diagnosed with bipolar. The daughter said that she felt like she was not herself. Tamra could not find help from medical doctors. She found help and healing for her daughter through energy medicine, introduced to her by a lady she calls Sue. This led Tamra on a deep journey of discovery. She found that LDS Church leaders, and prophets of long ago, even in the Bible, spoke of the healing power of light and energy. She also found modern-day secular authors who spoke the same thing, but with a different vocabulary.

In this book, you will find 34 pages where Tamra tells her story and how she was empowered to bring about healing to her daughter. Then the last hundred plus pages or so are devoted to gorgeous full color “slides,” 8 to a page, almost 500 total, which contain quotes from LDS Church Leaders, the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price, the Doctrine and Covenants, and modern day secular authors who are in the field of energy medicine. You will find, as it says on the back cover, that saints, scientists, and scholars, “unexpectedly reveal underlying principles of alternative healing.”

This is a picture of the author, Tamara Laing, and her husband, at a vendor booth featuring her book.

Read this book and you will be a more empowered health-care consumer. You will learn of many more options out there to increase your and your family’s mental and physical health. You can order it at her blog right here.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!

You will find such answers to the following questions, as it says on the back cover of the book:

  • Do prophets or apostles speak about life force energy?
  • Are auras and chakras in the Bible?
  • Are energy healing principles harmonious with LDS beliefs?
  • Do scriptures teach about thoughts and emotions affecting the body?
  • Does ‘darkness’ have anything to do with illness?
  • Do scriptures address generational issues or long-distance energy?

These answers are in the form of quotes by Parley P. Pratt, Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, Elder Robert D. Hales, Heber C. Kimball, John A. Widtsoe, Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton, Cliff Dunston, Richard Gerber MD, Candace Pert PhD, and many more. I love having all these quotes in one place.

I really love one of the quotes in the slides, the Hawaiian Ho’oponopono technique, which the author says to say out loud, particularly when triggered:

“I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.”

Forgive EVERYTHING. Be grateful for all things. Aspire to praise in all things.

(slide #452)

I also LOVE, LOVE the last slide:

“I am the Lord that healeth thee.” Exodus 15:26

God is the healer. Give God the glory!

“Glory to God on high! Let heaven and earth reply. Praise ye his name, His love and grace adore, Who all our sorrows bore. Sing aloud evermore: Worthy the Lamb.” James Allen, in Hymns #67

Upcoming Conference Call: How to Be a Scripture Power Mom!

Would you like to learn more about how to study the scriptures, so that you really understand what you study, and retain it? Would you like to study the scriptures without falling asleep?

Please join me on to learn how to do this with my friend Patricia DuBray on

Thursday Sept. 19

at

5:30 PM PT

6:30 PM MT

7:30 PM CT

8:30 PM ET

Patricia has spent years gleaning all the best ways and resources to make scripture study more illuminating, more memorable, and more exciting! I will be uploading a file that Patricia prepares to go along with the presentation.

This will be a conference call:

Conference Dial-in Number: (610) 214-0000

Participant Access Code: 738747#

Here is Patricia’s bio:

Being married to Dan DuBray for 28 years, I have been blessed to be a mother of three children, the eldest son of 25 years is a returned missionary and  married to our wonderful daughter-in-law, a second son of 21 years that just returned from his mission and living at home, and our youngest daughter living in Provo, Utah while studying in Cosmetology school.  Along with my focus of being a mom, I studied and have served for 19 years as a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant to help mothers with breastfeeding, which helped as I have served as a La Leche League leader for 21 years. Family life has been a wonderful challenge and I am grateful for the preparation I received before marriage while serving an LDS mission in Dallas, Texas.
Other interests that keep me busy in my life are my love to plan and attend events, my love of Star Gazer Lilies, collecting books, writing, travel,  games and eating milk chocolate.
I have a love for scriptures that I gained early in my youth when my local church leaders established a “Consecutive Club”.  It was a club that had special activities and events for those who daily/consecutively read their Scriptures.  For 37 years of consecutive scripture reading, that early club membership has blessed my life.  I love my scriptures and over the years I have participated in many activities to deepen my understanding and enlighten my mind.  I would love to spend time learning together and sharing ideas of how to enhance and enrich our time in reading the Words of the Master Teacher. As there is always more to learn, I have  been blessed to serve as a seminary teacher for two years up to the present.  I continue to consider creative and effective ways to study the scriptures so that the Spirit can help me as seekers of light and truth.

I Am So Inspired I am Ready to Sleep!

Today was a day full of learning and inspiration and now I am so full of it all I want to sleep! It started with a LEMI Conference call, which is a conference call for parents who are trained by Leadership Mentoring Institute to mentor youth in scholar projects. The two speakers on the call, Tiffany Earl and Aneladee Milne, shared the work of Brene Brown, featured above. I had never heard of this woman. She is an expert on shame. They talked about how shame is an indication of listening to negative scripts in our heads from “gremlins.” We can learn to acknowledge when we are feeling it and use positive scripts to ask ourselves what we really want and what we are going to do.

Then it was off to our Commonwealth School’s Parent Mentor training. On the way, my husband and I listened on the radio to this episode of Classics for Kids. I learned about Clara Wieck, who became Clara Schumann. I learned that she was incredible musician. She started performing when she was 8.  She started writing a piano concerto when she was 13. She married her father’s piano student, Robert Schumann. They formed a great marriage and music mentoring partnership, helping each other compose. She had eight children and continued performing for decades until her death at old age. So this reminded me of a movie I have been wanting to watch about Clara and Robert’s romantic love story. I looked it up on my smartphone after I got to the workshop and found out that it is on Youtube, see below. I think dh and I will watch this on our next date night.

So at the Parent Mentor Workshop, with Aneladee Milne, we talked about applying Leadership Education. We went over the 4 Phases, 7 Keys, 5 Environments, and 5 Pillars of TJEd. Aneladee showed this video below and we analyzed the boy’s story to find the 4 Phases in it.

We also talked about the 9 types of social orientation from Keith Olson’s book Why Teenagers Act the Way They Do. Not another system of typing and categorizing! There are so many types and categories out there. Now I am categorizing all my kids into which type.   I am wondering how it corresponds with the energy types of Carol Tuttle, or the Meyer-Briggs testing, or the color code….

We also discusses this amazing article by Ralph Waldo Emerson, called The American Scholar. You can read it here. It is so good! It has been called, America’s Intellectual Declaration of Independence. Each of these resources are enough to give me inspiration for weeks, and I got them all in one day!

Did You Know Hormonal Contraceptives Are Class 1 Carcinogens?

Did you know that the World Health Organization rates hormonal contraceptives as Class 1 Carcinogens? Did you know that the co-inventor of the Pill now condemns it, saying it has led to a “demographic catastrophe”? You deserve to know the truth about hormonal contraception! Please watch this video and share it with others. Hormonal contraception is hurting women, marriages, men, babies, and families. A safe, marriage-building, totally healthy alternative exists, and it’s natural family planning, along with ecological breastfeeding. Learn more at nfpandmore.org and the Creighton Model site.

I love the philosophy at nfpandmore.org because it involves ecological breastfeeding. This allows a woman to be infertile for an average of 15 to 18 months postpartum. It allows a woman’s ovaries and uterus to go through a winter season as she acts a tree of life to her baby. (See more in my book, at the “the book” tab above, specifically Chapter 8.) As much as I love what the Kippleys teach at nfpandmore.org, I don’t think taking a temperature daily is necessary, so that’s why I recommend the Creighton model. Taking you temperature daily first thing in the morning when you wake up can be quite daunting with a nursing, cosleeping baby. The Creighton model allows you to monitor your fertility with one signal, cervical fluid.
